The Role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and consultative Business Development Manager to join our growing team in Switzerland.


Responsibilities

* Developing and nurturing long‑term relationships with senior decision‑makers (QA, CQV, Engineering, Procurement, CAPEX leaders) at top Pharma, Biotech, and Medtech companies.
* Driving the full sales cycle: from prospecting and needs discovery to tailored proposals, tender management, and closing.
* Growing existing accounts while continuously hunting for new opportunities in the Swiss Life Sciences ecosystem.
* Acting as a trusted advisor, not just selling consultants, but co‑creating tailored solutions with our clients.
* Collaborating closely with consultants, project managers, and directors to ensure client satisfaction and successful delivery.


Key Responsibilities

* Build and execute a go‑to‑market strategy in Life Sciences consulting.
* Identify and qualify leads (hunting & farming) via LinkedIn, conferences, fairs, and your network.
* Develop tailored value propositions and commercial offers.
* Manage tenders, RFPs, and close deals.
* Onboard consultants, follow up during missions, and ensure smooth integration.
* Maintain precise and up‑to‑date CRM pipeline tracking.
* Lead account reviews and prepare management reports.


Qualifications


Experience & Knowledge

* ≥ 4 years’ experience in consulting sales or business development, ideally in Life Sciences in Switzerland.
* Proven track record in key account management and new business development.
* Familiarity with Life Sciences technical areas: QA, QC, CQV, CSV, Engineering, Regulatory.
* Network with decision‑makers in Swiss pharma, Biotech, and Medtech is a strong plus.
* Exposure to consultant recruitment and team supervision is highly valued.


Sales Approach & Personality

* Consultative & relationship‑driven: listens, tailors solutions, builds trust across long cycles.
* Hunter & farmer balance: comfortable with cold calling, prospecting, and account growth.
* Entrepreneurial, self‑driven, and resilient, thrives in autonomy while being a strong team player.
* Curious, detail‑oriented, and structured, able to manage priorities and multiple stakeholders.
* Excellent communicator, able to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.


Skills & Tools

* Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and ATS.
* Skilled in LinkedIn Recruiter, email prospecting, and Office 365.
* Strong presentation and storytelling abilities, able to deliver persuasive client meetings, webinars, and pitches.
* Fluent in German (Swiss German preferred) and English; French is a plus.
* Mobility across Switzerland.
