Overview
A great opportunity exists to join Zurich’s Finance & Actuarial Systems team as an Actuarial Analyst on a 12 month contract. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Life actuarial models that are the foundation for various analytical and reporting needs. You will participate in the evaluation and review of actuarial processes and models, perform statistical analyses, and interpret results of actuarial models. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will seek to understand and focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Life actuarial models that support analytical and reporting needs, and for evaluating and reviewing actuarial processes and models. You will perform statistical analyses and interpret results, and collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytics needs, including key metrics and KPIs, to deliver actionable insights to decision-makers.
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably in Actuarial studies
* Making progress with the Institute of Actuaries of Australia exams (or equivalent)
* Proficient in the use of actuarial systems (Prophet Professional and/or Prophet Enterprise)
* Knowledge of R/R Studio or Python for data querying and manipulation highly desirable
* Strong analytical and business problem-solving skills
* Proficient in process improvement and optimizing business operations
* Experienced in data analysis, experimentation, and dashboard development
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
