We're looking for our next bold leader – a
Chief Medical Officer –
to join our quest to provide market-transforming solutions for businesses, care teams and consumers to interactively manage health and care.

The role of Chief Medical Officer is no different, and in fact, plays a key role in our journey to innovate solutions that solve real problems for our clients.

Requirements
To be successful at Medecision the Chief Medical Officer will understand what a customer centric organization entails and be able to infuse that ideology in your contributions. The ideal candidate is a recognized C-suite leader with market credibility in the commercial health plan space. Your deep expertise as a physician and practical experience working with Care Management and Utilization Management software will serve as the foundation to communicate the Medecision Value Proposition to customers. Your exceptional listening skills to fully understand a customer or prospects needs will allow you to build strong relationships and demonstrate the value of the Medecision solutions. You have proven experience in leading change management and enjoy a fast paced innovative environment.

On a given day you will support sales calls and grow our network of qualified leads, host webinars, write blogs and articles, serve as SME on the evolving healthcare industry and represent the voice of a clinician and customer in our product roadmap and strategy.

This position reports to the CEO and is ideally a contract position.

Sales
Key areas of responsibility:

* Bring in qualified leads via existing network and continuously growing network (must travel, conferences, dinner hosting etc.)
* Lead key sales calls/meetings as senior executive (i.e. save CEO for key decision points)

Marketing

* Host webinars, write blogs, articles, analyst discussions etc.… a key public face of company along with CEO
* Advisory role to marketing team on messaging and materials

Customer Success

* Support/advisor to team to help them show up prepared to lead and solution
* Serve as executive sponsor for major initiatives (possibly in dyad with technical leader)

Product And Strategy

* Become SME on competitive landscape and rapidly evolving industry
* Clinician/customer point of view
* Advisory/feedback role regarding roadmap and strategy
* Build and lead clinical advisory council

NPS

Education And Experience

* Medical education, preferably an MD degree, board certification and current licensure.
* Proven executive leadership in operations and strategy in core services of a healthcare delivery system, including both integrated delivery systems, physician practice, and emerging accountable care organizations such as MSO, IPAs, ACOs and similar risk bearing entities.
* Advisory experience to assist new, emerging and transforming businesses migrate their economic and business model workflows to accountable care.
* Familiarity with health plan based integrated medical management: UM, DM, CM, Medical Policy, Appeals, Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Clinical Informatics.
* Knowledge of and preferably successful leadership for URAC and NCQA formal accreditation.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
* Proven project management skills: owner, executive sponsor, steering committees.
* Excellent leadership, team building, and supervisory skills (e.g. coaching, mentoring).
* Ideally, recognition in the Health Care industry with robust, relevant collegial network.
* Healthcare analytics experience.
* Claims, clinical and EMR system knowledge and experience.
* Medical code experience and knowledge.
