Job Description
The objective of this role is to design, develop, and monitor robust control processes covering the entire eForex activity at Swissquote. The position sits at the core of our trading ecosystem, ensuring accurate reconciliation, transparent reporting, and continuous improvements in operational risk management.
Key Responsibilities
* Reconciliation & Control Development – Build and maintain models to reconcile trading platforms with the core banking system, ensuring data integrity across the full trade lifecycle.
* Monitoring & Reporting – Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports on reconciliation differences and operational trends, highlighting risks and proposing corrective actions.
* Cross-Functional Coordination – Liaise with Trading, Middle Office, Back Office, IT, and Development teams to investigate discrepancies and ensure smooth resolution.
* Database & Process Enhancement – Improve database structures, optimize queries, and streamline reconciliation processes for efficiency and scalability.
* Booking & Adjustments – Perform daily and monthly booking/correction of reconciliation differences in line with risk policies.
* Automation & Innovation – Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes using Python and advanced Excel techniques.
* Risk Oversight Support – Assist in the design of control frameworks to monitor operational and market risks within the FX activity.
* Audit & Compliance – Prepare documentation and support internal/external audits related to forex reconciliation and reporting.
Qualifications
* Ideally, 1 or 2 years of experience in Banking or Finance, particularly in operations or risk.
* Understanding of the FX market, products, and infrastructure (trade lifecycle, settlement, liquidity providers, and platforms).
* Strong Excel & Python knowledge.
* Previous knowledge of trading and banking platforms such as MT4, MT5, T24, GTMatch is a strong plus.
* Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills to work across multiple stakeholders.
* Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).
