For our client, an NGO located in Geneva, we are looking for a Chief Accountant. In this position, you will support and act as the right hand to the Accounting Director. Supported by your team of 4 people, you are in charge of the entire finance function for the Swiss entity as well as certain foreign subsidiaries, specifically:- Steering the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process for your entities, including consolidated financial statements, internal controls, analysis of existing processes, and implementation- Management of Swiss VAT and coordination with local fiduciary firms- Supervision of accounts payable and accounts receivable management- Liaison with external auditors- Process optimization- Management of a team of 4 peopleWe are looking for a person with:- Federal Diploma in Finance/Accounting or equivalent expertise- Full proficiency in English, C1 minimum- Experience in NGO accounting (large scale)- Candidates without a notice period will be prioritized - start date September at the latest- Salary: around K CHF- 2 days of remote workIt is important to be able to explain finance to people who do not speak the same language, to want both a managerial role and an operational role.
