Creative Director, Copywriter

Work you’ll do
Our future Creative Director, Copywriter is a great storyteller and natural leader. This person must show composure under pressure, always be solution-orientated, and function as a collaborative partner to fellow creative leads. This person will be responsible for mentoring and managing teams, as well as inspiring and fostering the best collaboration between creative talent and cross-department. This person will be responsible for running accounts as well as leaning into new business.
In this role, you will:
* Oversee the concepting, presentation, and selling through of creative (from brand platforms to advertising comms and beyond), which use the power of brand to tie together multimedia channels and customer experiences.
* Act as a partner to clients, to help chart the role for brand and creativity in driving growth and achieving our clients’ marketing goals.
* Demonstrated fluency with Google Gemini AI and a proactive curiosity to stay at the forefront of AI advancements, with a passion for applying cutting-edge technologies to real-world challenges.
* Be willing to roll up your sleeves and see through the execution of creative ideas from concept through tactical production tasks, ensuring the highest level of quality and adherence to brand strategy.
* Lead, mentor and train teams of writers, designers, and art directors to create smart and surprising creative solutions to solve our client’s marketing challenges by putting the consumer at the center of the experience.
* Provide leadership, motivation and convey the vision and values of the agency to staff.
* Garner and maintain strong relationships with partners in-house and outside of the agency.
* Lean into aggregating new business and participating in pitches as needed.
* Stay current on trends, culture, and events; bring inspiring external insight into the work and have a natural curiosity for data.
* Be solution-oriented in the face of challenges.
* Have a self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit.
The team
Deloitte's Advertising, Marketing & Commerce team creates content and experiences that inspire action. We design and implement technology platforms for personalized marketing across all digital touchpoints, specializing in customer‑centric B2B and B2C solutions. Our in‑house agency engages customers throughout their journey, working on projects like AdTech, MarTech, campaign automation, CRM, and lead‑to‑loyalty orchestration. A strong candidate would possess, these skills:
* An ability to flex their tone of voice and partner with AI to develop unique content that resonates with a range of consumers.
* Quick‑witted, headline and copy generator who works well in teams and is comfortable presenting and building client relationships.
* Comfortable working on a range of fast‑paced assets from TV scripts to social content.
* A finger on the pulse of culture with previous work that is rooted in and inspired by cultural relevance.
Qualifications
Required:
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
* 10+ years of agency copywriting experience – along with a portfolio showcasing storytelling, conceptual and executional skills in integrated campaigns.
* 10+ years of experience working in digital, social and above‑the‑line creative campaigns.
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
* Ability to travel up to 50% on average based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Preferred:
* 10+ years of experience writing everything from short to long form, headlines to manifestos, etc.
* 6+ years of new business pitching experience.
