For the management of the Health & Safety team at the headquarters in Aarau, we are looking for you, as a dedicated and ambitious reinforcement, to start as soon as possible in the position
Head of Health & Safety
With passion for safety in electricity supply
In this exciting leadership role, you make an important contribution to ensuring that Swissgrid employees and contracted companies work safely and without health impairments. Your tasks include:
Leading and further developing our specialist team in the Health & Safety department
Ensuring the holistic operation of the department with the main goal of promoting safe working at Swissgrid and on our construction sites in high-voltage grid construction
Continuous development of the Health & Safety domain to further advance the safety culture at Swissgrid as well as at the contracted companies
Further development of safety standards, methods, and tools to ensure continuous improvement
Assuming safety-specific committee functions in the Swiss and European environment, maintaining a network with relevant stakeholders, partners, and authorities within and outside the industry, and representing Swissgrid's interests

You are an integrative and empathetic person with extensive experience in leading cross-site teams and are distinguished by your integrity, result orientation, and communicative qualities with a pronounced hands‑on mentality. Furthermore, you bring the following:
Safety specialist / engineer or comparable qualification in the European environment
Many years of leadership experience and experience in managing and further developing the Health & Safety department
Presence and competence as a figure of identification for Health & Safety at Swissgrid
Experienced in dealing with executive management, internal and external partners, as well as contracted companies
Affinity for the complex environment of critical infrastructure in Switzerland
Very good German and French skills; English or Italian is an advantage
