The opportunity
The Product excellence team is ensuring product quality, reliability, and performance throughout the product lifecycle, leading tasks such as design change, customer requests, material updates, and supplier transitions. This role also involves coordinating activities to support cost, quality, and factory goals on daily production and new product launches, as well as maintaining and updating technical documentation related to products.
How you’ll make an impact
* The ideal candidate will be part of the Mechanical design and engineering team, specialized in Medium Voltage Surge Arresters.
* Responsible for preparation of customer documents, manufacturing drawings, bill of materials, etc.
* Responsible for development of custom solutions in coordination with sales and product management.
* Leading change management activities related to design adjustments and material changes.
* Coordinating design activities with global product support.
* Working to maintain and improve product quality through various engineering processes and testing methodologies.
* Identifying and resolving complex product-related issues, often involving collaboration with other teams.
* Working closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure product success.

Your background
* Graduate in Mechanical Engineering.
* Experience in mechanical design for high voltage manufacturing industry is a plus.
* Good understanding of ISO/IEC standards.
* Basic electrical concepts such as clearance/creepage and basic layout should be understood.
* Experience in electrical component design is advantageous.
* Knowledge of CAD software, such as Creo, is required.
* A team player, open with information, willing to contribute, and able to work independently when needed.
* Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
