We are seeking
a contract Business Data Analyst to support a high-impact Risk Records/Bordereaux Management Project within the Life and Health Reinsurance sector. This role is central to improving the quality, structure, and usability of risk-related data across global portfolios. The analyst will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure data integrity and standardization, support compliance, and enable strategic insights through robust data analysis.
You will work as part of a global Project Team for a challenging Global Systems Implementation and Transformation Project within a Global Reinsurance Company (Life & Health), responsible for providing Business Data Analyst services to the Project and direct support to the Business Data Management Lead.
This is a contracting role of 12 months with extension. We are open to candidates currently based in: Zurich, Toronto, Paris, Dublin and London.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the business validation of the target data model for the new Global Risk Record System.
* Analyse and standardise datasets across risk records and connected systems.
* Identify data quality issues and collaborate with business and technical teams to resolve inconsistencies.
* Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to monitor data completeness, accuracy, and trends.
* Support the mapping, migration and integration of legacy data into centralized platforms.
* Document business rules and data definitions to support governance and transparency.
* Translate project requirements into actionable data tasks and deliverables.
* Provide insights and recommendations to improve data capture and usage across the reinsurance lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in data Analytics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Information Systems, or related field.
* Minimum 7 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in insurance or reinsurance.
* Strong proficiency in SQL, Snowflake and Excel; experience with Alteryx or Data Virtuality is a plus.
* Familiarity with life and health insurance products and reinsurance structures.
* Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and data quality frameworks.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a project-driven environment.
* Proficient in English
Preferred Skills:
* Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., Solvency II, IFRS 17).
* Experience with data frameworks, data migration and transformation projects.
* Knowledge of actuarial data and risk modelling concepts.
