Are you the team member we are looking for?
Unit8 seeks a Data & AI Business Development Manager to join our Growth organization in Lausanne. The role's purpose is to execute Unit8's go-to-market strategy and actively drive new business acquisition. You will help our customers derive value from the latest data & AI technologies by managing the entire customer engagement lifecycle—from prospecting and needs assessment to pre-sales, presentations, proposal development, negotiations, and contracting. You will collaborate with our delivery team to onboard new clients and play a key role in ensuring customer success.
What You'll Do
* Execute Unit8's GTM strategy to acquire new customers and projects (quota carrying)
* Consult with clients on their challenges and needs related to Data & AI
* Take end-to-end responsibility for customer acquisition, from lead generation to deal closure (with a yearly sales quota)
* Contribute to business development through industry conferences, communities, workshops, and events
* Assist clients in leveraging Data & AI (including GenAI) advancements by identifying needs and translating them into value-added solutions
You are:
* Highly organized and a team player
* Having at least 5+ years of experience in business development within IT consulting/services
* Proven success in acquiring new business, preferably in the IT consulting/services sector
* Knowledgeable in data, analytics, machine learning, AI, and cloud technologies
* Self-driven with a positive attitude, quick learner, and ready to face challenges
* Preferably with a technical background
* Fluent in English (mandatory) and French (a plus)
* A great communicator, dynamic, and motivated to represent Unit8 externally
* Willing and able to travel up to 25%, mainly within Switzerland and the DACH region
