Activities
We are seeking an IT Architect - DBA responsible for defining the technical architecture of the information system, ensuring the consistency and sustainability of all IT resources, and utilizing advanced technologies for TS and TGP entities worldwide. The role reports to the Backend Services Team Leader within the DDIT (Delivery IT for Trading) Infrastructure & Support department, supporting approximately 1200 users, 1200 servers, across 10 global offices and 7 data centers. The position involves team collaboration and on-call duties.
Responsibilities
Design / Consulting / Recommendations / Communication
* Define and lead the development of the technical architecture to meet business needs.
* Review and analyze the technical impacts of new solutions, ensuring alignment with existing architecture.
* Ensure compliance with company standards and guidelines.
* Advise development teams on IT and telecommunications tools.
* Organize technology watch and innovation initiatives.
* Participate in impact studies for new projects or technologies.
* Recommend technical choices to ensure coherent evolution.
* Promote the technical architecture within the IT department and with architecture validation bodies.
Administration
* Manage the IT system repository, including tools, procedures, standards, and security.
* Set up and configure database management systems (DBMS) to meet company needs.
* Ensure database performance through backups, updates, and optimization.
* Implement security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
* Monitor database activity, resolve issues, and ensure continuity.
* Analyze performance and implement improvements.
Deliverables

Candidate Profile
* Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent, specialized in databases and networks.
* Experience with networks, systems, and IT project management.
* Previous experience in energy, trading, or financial services sectors.
* Open-minded with strong team spirit.
* Dynamic, organized, with the ability to prioritize.
* Solution-oriented with excellent communication skills.
* Fluent in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
