Purpose
* The Offshore Construction Supervisor works under the authority of the Offshore Construction Manager and manages the execution of operations related to an installation project in line with SBM standards for HSSE and quality.
* The role covers HSSE management for vessels or FPSOs, project requirements, and engineering procedures within a 12‑hour shift.
Responsibilities
* Ensure operations are performed efficiently in accordance with approved shift plans, task plans, and PTW requirements.
* Identify technical issues and escalates them appropriately.
* Log and report progress during shifts.
* Run risk assessments and toolbox talks, coordinating across departments to ensure safety and efficiency.
* Supervise operations in various offshore units: diving/ROV/bridge/bridge deck team, field engineer, construction/FPSO team, and external partners.
* Assess and appraise the performance of your team and report to the Offshore Construction Manager.
* When assigned in the office, contribute to project preparation activities with operational expertise.
Education
* Engineering discipline degree or diploma from university or engineering college (recommended).
Experience
* Minimum 3 years offshore subsea and mooring installation experience (oil & gas, renewable, or other relevant industries).
* Minimum 5 years if coming from deck foreman, ROV/diving supervisor, or bridge officer positions.
* Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
* Knowledge of offshore construction techniques and FPSO mooring systems, including ROV, lifting, and possibly shallow and deep diving.
* Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
