We are currently looking for a Construction Manager. This role focuses on the customer-oriented, safe, and cost-effective operation and upkeep of structural facilities. It involves managing and overseeing maintenance activities across structural elements such as the building shell, interior finishes, and structural framework. The position also includes independently handling faults and deficiencies, as well as leading maintenance-related projects.
Responsibilities
Provide expert input on all construction-related matters
Independently manage construction projects as a Construction Manager or Subproject Lead
Oversee and ensure the operation and maintenance of structural facilities throughout their lifecycle
Ensure quality assurance in technical execution
Contribute to and maintain accurate construction documentation
Prepare and manage construction cost planning
Handle procurement, invoicing, and claim management processes
Lead small to medium-sized projects in civil engineering, building envelope, and interior construction
Ensure site safety and logistics, and develop concepts and specifications
Must-Haves University or technical college degree, or technical vocational training with relevant further education
At least 5 years of experience in construction management or subproject leadership
At least 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of structural facilities
Strong project management skills
Initial experience in quality management and quality assurance in construction
Initial experience in building condition analysis and warranty/deficiency management
Excellent knowledge of construction administration and contract management
Strong understanding of Swiss construction laws and regulations (e.g., SIA standards)
Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written
GMP knowledge is a plus
Duration: 12 months initially
