As an IT System Technology Architect, youwill be responsible for architecting, implementing and managing ITinfrastructures that support a broad range of core R& Dprocesses, ensuring a seamless and exceptional user experience. Youwill collaborate with developer teams to optimize the developertoolchain, systems performance and integration efforts. Your newresponsibilities - Lead the design, implementation, management andoperation of IT systems and infrastructure services, includingpublic/private cloud and network infrastructure to meet the needsof the R& D organization - Drive technology innovations andcollaborate with R& D stakeholders, Siemens Corporate IT, andother software/hardware vendors to identify, evaluate and implementcutting-edge solutions. Establish clear guidance on the new ITsolution evaluation process specific to the local organization -Oversee the installation, specification, testing and servicetransition of software and hardware, ensuring they align withoperational needs - Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance ofserver and network infrastructures (firewall) to ensure thereliability and robustness of IT services - Provide expert supportfor server/network troubleshooting, ensuring smooth operation andresolving user issues promptly - Address security and performanceissues, ensuring all systems meet industry standards and corporatesecurity requirements. Participate in security audits and implementnecessary changes. Ensure compliance with industry standards andcorporate IT procedures - Work closely with Corporate IT,application operations and other teams to develop strategies andaction plans for upgrades and integrations and deliver solutions(Dev Sec Ops) Your talents and experience - Extensive (hands-on)experience with core IT infrastructure technologies - Windows/LinuxOS, including configuration and management of base infrastructureservices (e.g., DHCP, DNS, domain controllers) - Managingvirtualized environments (i.e., hosting hardware, networkvirtualization and cloud-based infrastructure) - Network andsecurity technologies (e.g., Cisco, Forti Gate, RADIUS, L2/3switches) - Familiarity with security principles for systems andnetwork administration (i.e., vulnerability management, zero-trustarchitecture etc.) - Proficiency with modern developer toolchainsand workflows (e.g., Git-based CI/CD) - Experience with IT/OTarchitectures for R& D environments/workflows based onstate-of-the-art concepts, including migration strategy fromtoday's solution - Strong problem-solving skills with the abilityto assess complex systems and proactively propose solutions -Collaborative mindset fostering teamwork across globalcross-functional teams - Self-starter with the ability to takeownership of vision, lead initiatives, make decisions and driveimprovements within the organization, supported by projectmanagement skills - Excellent verbal and written communicationskills; English is required, German is a plus - Curiosity toexplore the latest technologies and a willingness to adapt to anevolving technology landscape Employee benefits - 2–3 days per weekof mobile working is standard - Mobility allowance - Varied furthertraining opportunities - Access to employee share programs -Further information about employee benefits can be found here Whatit’s like working for us We place significant emphasis on fosteringan inclusive and flexible working culture that encourages everyoneto be their authentic selves.
