The Position
Foodlicious is our daily business.
From the Roche tavern, a successful gastronomy company has developed over 30 years in the field of community catering. Tavero AG is a 100% subsidiary of F. Hoffmann-La Roche. At our locations in Basel and Kaiseraugst, we employ around 350 staff from over 41 nations.
Our offerings include both staff restaurants providing diverse delights and fine dining restaurants with upscale cuisine and excellent service. Additionally, we offer global delicacies, coffee in various styles prepared by our baristas, and the highest lounges in Switzerland—dreamy after-work spots above the city rooftops. Grab'n'Go options from sushi to burgers and the first-ever Roche club complete our offerings.
We also provide meeting room and event catering for up to 1,500 people. Our public gastronomies, Schöpfli in the park, and Chez Jeannot at the Tinguely Museum, round out our portfolio.
Responsibilities
* Timely preparation and production of all menu components and service in the respective work area
* Cooking in front cooking
* Respectful handling of products
* Preparation according to recipes, including tasting and continuous improvement processes
* Adherence to hygiene regulations (TQM / HACCP)
* Economic operation to achieve company goals
* Responsible for proper storage of goods in refrigeration, freezer, and storage areas – daily checks
* Secure inventory management and internal/external ordering
* Daily inventory list management and participation in monthly inventory
Profile
* Completed culinary training (EFZ)
* At least 5 years of professional experience (excluding training years)
* Experience in front cooking
* Organizational talent and strong sense of responsibility
* Assertiveness
* Independent working style and taking responsibility
* Teamwork and reliability
* Availability Monday to Friday between 6:00 and 18:00
* Knowledge of Swiss food legislation
* Good German and English skills, written and spoken, to advise customers competently
* Proficiency with computer programs (MS Office) in a digital world
