Overview
Job title: Sales Manager – Electric Direct Drives
Objective: Drive the growth of I&W Engineering in the European market by identifying and converting new business opportunities while helping to shape our commercial presence in the electric direct drive sector.
Responsibilities
* Identify and target customers and sectors with unmet needs in electric direct drive solutions
* Develop and execute a pragmatic, results-oriented go-to-market strategy for Europe
* Track industry trends and competitor activity to sharpen positioning and accelerate market entry
* Take full ownership of the sales funnel – from lead generation to deal closure
* Actively engage with prospects via direct outreach, industry events, and professional networks
* Build authentic, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and technical stakeholders
* Tailor and deliver persuasive solution presentations aligned with customer pain points
* Work closely with the Sales Director to define campaigns and strategic accounts
* Interact directly with our engineering and product teams in Switzerland to shape market-ready solutions
* Be a voice of the customer – bring structured feedback into product development
* Support content creation with external marketing partners to drive visibility and lead generation
* Use CRM tools to structure your pipeline and prioritize high-impact opportunities
* Track KPIs and report results to management with focus on learnings and next steps
* Adjust tactics rapidly based on market signals – agility and initiative are key
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
* Several years of successful sales experience in a technical B2B environment (e.g., electric drives, robotics, powertrain, automation)
* Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, self-driven, hands-on and comfortable with ambiguity
* Strong communicator and listener – you know how to connect with customers on both technical and business levels
* Fluent in English (spoken & written); German is a strong plus
* Willingness to travel and work flexibly across time zones and cultures
