Drive and optimize enterprise engineering systems by managing application strategy, integrations, and technical infrastructure to support product development and operational excellence.Your Role & ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the engineering applications strategy aligned with business and engineering prioritiesOwn the application portfolio roadmap, lifecycle management, and performance monitoringLead application standardization and consolidation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce redundancyManage software vendors, licensing, and cost optimization across the application portfolioIdentify and implement automation, AI/ML capabilities, and emerging technologies within the systems roadmapAct as the technical lead and primary owner for engineering applications, including hands-on configuration, administration, integration, and troubleshootingAdminister and maintain PLM, CAD, and related enterprise platforms, including infrastructure, databases, and application environmentsConfigure workflows, lifecycles, business rules, and system integrations supporting engineering and manufacturing processesManage user roles, permissions, security policies, and access controls aligned with data classification and export requirementsPlan and execute upgrades, patches, and system migrations while minimizing operational disruptionConfigure and maintain integrations between PLM, CAD, ERP, and other engineering systems to ensure data synchronization and traceabilitySupport data exchange with manufacturing execution systems and requirements management toolsDevelop and maintain automated scripts, interfaces, and system integrationsEnsure data integrity, proper file structures, naming conventions, and change management processesCoordinate and mentor a small team while tracking project scope, progress, and risksCollaborate closely with engineering, configuration management, manufacturing, and IT stakeholders to align systems with business requirementsDrive tool adoption, user training, and enterprise-wide awareness initiativesServe as a trusted advisor for engineering systems and technology solutionsRequired Technical & Professional ExpertiseBachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise applications, engineering systems, or related technical environments, including direct support of engineering tools such as PLM and CAD systemsProven experience with hands-on system administration and system integrations within aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, or similar industriesExperience managing application portfolios, vendor relationships, and software licensing optimizationStrong background in enterprise application architecture, administration, integration, and developmentProficiency with PLM platforms and engineering tools such as Teamcenter, NX, Altium, Jira, Polarion, or similar systemsExperience integrating ERP systems, manufacturing tools, and relational databases such as SQLFamiliarity with scripting and automation technologies including Python, PowerShell, or Shell scriptingUnderstanding of product development environments, engineering change management, configuration management, and BOM structuresExposure to cloud platforms, cybersecurity practices, AI/ML technologies, and regulated data environments is advantageousStrong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teamsGood English skills (written and spoken); German is desirableEligibility to work in Switzerland (Swiss or EU citizenship required)
