Reporting to the Section Leader, the Quality Controller’s duties include undertaking a series of jobs for which you are trained or competent to perform, related to the production of IrvinGQ products.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Carry out inspection tasks assigned by the Section Leader or Operations Manager
* Participate in and deliver any training requested by the company
* Record relevant information to ensure lot traceability
* Check traceability of all work carried out in the production process
* Correct booking of daily timesheets
* Maintain and improve the quality of products where possible
* Adhere to health and safety policies and keep all working areas clean, tidy, and organized
* Undertake miscellaneous tasks as directed by the Section Leader
* Demonstrate initiative by looking ahead to ensure minimum downtime on all jobs
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to detect and act upon manufacturing discrepancies
* Able to read drawings and understand written instructions
* Strong measuring ability, using devices such as rulers, tape, Vernier, and table markings
* Motivated and enthusiastic
* Basic understanding of computers
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently
* Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to ask for advice and training when required
Helpful Skills:
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
* Previous experience with industrial sewing machines, including single needle, zig-zag, bar-tack, twin needle, 4 needle, automatic, Adler, over-locker
Physical / Safety Considerations:
* Strict adherence to safety rules and regulations within all IrvinGQ environments
