Swiss Life Asset Managers is a leading institutional asset manager with over EUR 290bn in AuM. Our Infrastructure Private Equity team manages EUR 12bn, focusing on direct investments in Core & Core+, Value-Add, and Renewable & Clean Energy infrastructure assets across OECD countries, particularly in Europe and North America. Since 2011, we have completed 75 direct infrastructure investments and are expanding our mandate to include control and co-control positions up to CHF 500m. Our Zurich-based team of 65+ professionals, including 30 investment managers is truly international representing 16 languages and diverse backgrounds. We are now seeking a Senior Investment Manager (f/m/d) to join our Renewable Energy team.
Responsibilities
* Active involvement in all aspects of the investment lifecycle
* Managing the origination and execution of direct investments into Renewable Energy assets and companies
* Leading due diligence workstreams across financial, commercial, and operational areas
* Taking responsibility for financial models and conducting company valuations
* Supporting contract negotiations
* Drafting and presenting of investment memoranda for internal committees
* Managing and monitoring of portfolio companies with focus on value creation
Experience
* A strong academic background from a top-tier university or business school
* At least 5–7 years of full-time experience in M&A, project finance, infrastructure private equity in the energy industry
* High motivation for investments into Renewable Energy and understanding of various technologies (incl. PV, Wind, BESS, Hydrogen) and its applications / potential
* Excellent analytical skills, financial modelling capabilities, and understanding of corporate finance
* Experience in governance structures and SPA/SHA negotiations
* Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment
* An intellectually curious and highly motivated personality
* Fluency in English is required; plus another European language
