* Life Sciences - Data Science * Basel-Stadt * Contracting * Vollzeit * 01/04/2026 - 31/03/2027 * ETL, Data Science, SQL, Engineering, Python Tasks & Responsibilities: * Maintain Data Integration Tools Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot existing data integration pipelines feeding AI models, ensuring high data quality, reliability, and availability. * Support AI Development Collaborate with R&D scientists to support training, validation, and optimization of machine learning and AI models. * Data Analysis & Reporting Perform in-depth data analysis to extract actionable insights, answer research questions, and communicate findings through structured reports and visualizations. * Troubleshoot & Problem-Solve Identify and resolve technical issues related to data access, software constraints, infrastructure, and model performance. * Ensure Project Continuity Work closely with the team to maintain timelines and deliverables throughout the contract period, ensuring uninterrupted R&D operations. * Documentation & Knowledge Transfer Maintain clear documentation of workflows, system modifications, and best practices to ensure transparency and continuity. Must-Have Qualifications: * Bachelor-s or Master-s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field * 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data science or data analytics roles * Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) * Solid experience with SQL and relational databases * Practical experience with ETL principles and data pipeline management * Foundational understanding of machine learning models and workflows * Experience with image analysis techniques * Familiarity with FAIR data principles * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently in a small team environment * Strong communication and documentation skills
