Job Description
In this role, you will be a core member of the WordPress Infrastructure team. We are responsible for the hosting of multiple public facing websites, among them the highly visible https://home.cern. By joining us, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of the infrastructure, and will support the websites hosted on that infrastructure.
Your responsibilities
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the WordPress infrastructure components and tools responsible for the service delivery automation.
Provide support to the WordPress website owners and developers, participate in the user support activities.
Actively engage in the internal WordPress community, and assist the stakeholders.
Improve the monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions in place to guarantee high availability and performance.
Contribute to the global evolution of web hosting infrastructure, beyond WordPress.

Your profile
Experience with version control systems and CI/CD workflows.
Experience with container deployment and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes / OpenShift.
Familiarity with the Kubernetes operator pattern.
Previous experience managing CMS (e.g. Drupal, WordPress, Joomla) platforms or other PHP based software is desirable.
Previous experience with observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, InfluxDB, Grafana) is a plus.
