We have multiple openings at our recently launched, unique biological manufacturing and development campus, Ibex, located in Visp in the Swiss Alps—a truly inspiring place to work. Join us as a Bioprocess Engineer and be part of this exciting opportunity.
Key responsibilities:
* Plan, execute, and document manufacturing campaigns in mammalian cell culture.
* Lead multidisciplinary project teams as the Functional Lead for manufacturing aspects of assigned products.
* Establish timely and high-quality production documentation specific to the assigned area.
* Ensure regulatory requirements are implemented in assets and products.
* Perform manufacturing activities according to cGMP guidelines, including batch execution, test result evaluation, troubleshooting, and equipment resolution.
* Contribute as a production expert in capital investment projects, including setup, commissioning, and qualification of manufacturing suites and automation.
* Implement relevant GMP documentation for the respective area.
* Train operators for manufacturing assigned products.
* Support Plant Manager and Head Manufacturing Staff in training and planning tasks.
* Represent Lonza Manufacturing during customer audits and visits.
* Execute innovation and improvement projects for the production plant.
* Maintain high standards of technical and process standardization within the plant.
Key requirements:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related disciplines.
* Broad biotechnology expertise, preferably in mammalian cell culture or biotechnical engineering.
* Fluent in German and English.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across organizational interfaces.
* Team-oriented with a structured, focused, and organized working attitude.
* Highly motivated, dynamic, and solution-oriented.
