About the role
This position reports to Sales Manager.
In this demanding sales function, you will be responsible for market development at switchgear manufacturers in German-speaking Switzerland. You will identify market potential, develop customer relationships in a targeted manner and successfully position our products and systems in electrical power distribution. You will work closely with internal departments, channel partners and external stakeholders and directly contribute to the sustainable growth of the business.
Work model: hybrid.
Key responsibilities
* Achieve sales, growth and profitability targets and actively develop sales in your divisions, identifying new market opportunities, building a sustainable sales pipeline in Salesforce and deriving targeted measures for business development.
* Accompany challenging customer projects from opportunity to successful completion and develop tailor-made technical and commercial solutions with internal departments and channel partners.
* Coordinate all relevant stakeholders—from planners to switchgear manufacturers and internal contact persons—and ensure a professional, efficient sales process.
* Cultivate long-term customer relationships, identify needs early and offer professional advice, confident sales negotiations and first-class customer experience throughout the entire sales cycle.
* Proactively identify projects via databases, project platforms and tender portals, follow up on offers in a structured manner and ensure technical and commercial accuracy in coordination with the bidding department, communicating bindingly on delivery times, payment terms and contractual conditions.
Qualifications
* Several years of successful experience in technical or project sales, ideally in switchgear, power distribution or building technology.
* Sound technical education with relevant further training or studies, preferably in electrical engineering and power distribution.
* Confident management of complex sales processes and convincing communication with customers at different decision-making levels.
* Strong ability to build and sustainably maintain long-term client relationships with a focus on partnership-based consulting and business development.
* Strategic consulting expertise beyond products, especially on business models, market positioning and differentiation features.
* Structured and solution-oriented work with high prioritization competence, confident handling of dynamic requirements and pressure situations.
* Team-oriented, initiative personality with professional communication, cross-departmental cooperation and active knowledge exchange.
