Purpose of the Position
The Sr. Analyst supports the Strategic Capacity Planning process, which includes creating, modifying, and maintaining demand and capacity models for key product portfolios within the Small Molecule Platform.
This role supports the preparation of strategic analysis for new product introductions, network configuration scenarios, and capacity changes in the supply chain network. It involves obtaining and maintaining data in the strategic capacity planning system.
Responsibilities
* Supports the Strategic Capacity Planning process in the Small Molecule platform, including creating, modifying, and maintaining demand and capacity models.
* Executes the annual renewal process of the strategic capacity plan and provides analysis as needed.
* Supports the preparation of strategic analysis for new product introductions, network configuration scenarios, and capacity changes.
* Collaborates with Plant planning, E2E Planning, Value Chain Leaders, External Supply Leads, and other stakeholders to obtain and review data and network models.
* Partners with the Strategic Demand group to ensure smooth data flow into the Strategic Capacity Planning system.
* Maintains data and models in the system to drive the models.
* Uses core system functionality to build graphs, publish scenarios, and create dashboards.
* Develops and implements improvement proposals from a process and modeling perspective, increasing team efficiency.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in a numerate field—engineering, logistics, supply chain, computing, finance, or economics; advanced degree preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in logistics, planning, and/or manufacturing within the pharmaceutical, chemical, biologics, or closely related industry.
* Strong business insights to understand the impact of decisions across the supply chain.
* Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to master complexity and integrate insights into strategies.
* Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority, building consensus and collaborating across departments and global levels.
* Ability to balance multiple priorities, work independently, and demonstrate initiative.
* Good working knowledge of supply chains and global value chains.
* Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
