About the role
We are seeking an experienced Credit Trader specializing in synthetic credit derivatives, especially Credit Default Swaps (CDS) and Credit-Linked Notes (CLNs). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in trading single-name and index CDS, with experience in structuring or trading CLNs. A strong understanding of credit markets is essential, along with experience in bond trading, particularly in market-making or brokerage roles. This role involves managing risk, sourcing and executing trades, and providing market intelligence to stakeholders. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment is critical. Experience in other asset classes is a plus.

What you'll do
1. Execute and manage trading positions in credit derivatives, focusing on CDS (single-name and index).
2. Source and manage liquidity in CDS markets, maintaining strong relationships with counterparties and clients.
3. Monitor macroeconomic indicators, credit events, and issuer-specific developments to inform trading decisions.
4. Collaborate with sales and structuring teams to identify trading opportunities and deliver solutions.
5. Provide market insights, pricing, and trade ideas to clients and internal teams.
6. Manage risk and optimize P&L through hedging and inventory management.
7. Ensure compliance with risk policies and regulatory requirements.
8. (Optional) Support bond execution and contribute to corporate bond trading efforts.
What you'll need
1. At least 5 years of experience in credit trading, with emphasis on CDS and credit derivatives.
2. Deep knowledge of credit markets, derivative structures, and risk management.
3. Experience with trading platforms like Bloomberg, Tradeweb, or similar.
4. Strong quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel (VBA/Python is a plus).
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Initiative, attention to detail, and ability to make quick, sound decisions.
7. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
