We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic Product Engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in mechanical design and a passion for supporting innovative medium-voltage drive solutions across diverse industrial applications.
- Serve as a mechanical designer, ensuring the development and continuous improvement of medium-voltage drive products.
- Create, modify, and maintain mechanical drawings using advanced M-CAD tools (such as Solid Edge or Creo).
- Generate comprehensive part lists, arrange update and upgrade kits, and work within a PLM environment.
- Deliver mechanical designs independently, with minimal supervision.
- Utilize various engineering tools to evaluate and verify design integrity and performance.
- Coordinate closely with electrical engineering, release management, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop detailed technical documentation, including 2D and 3D drawings and assembly instructions.
- Contribute to ongoing product and process optimization initiatives.
- Support the installed base by creating update kits and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- You have several years of experience in the design and development of mechanical constructions.
- You are detail-oriented, with a strong focus on achieving goals and delivering high-quality results.
- You demonstrate a self-driven attitude, responsibility, and commitment to your work.
- You are recognized as a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
- You possess solid knowledge of Office365, SAP, and M-CAD tools (Solid Edge, Creo, Windchill).
- Experience with PLM systems and familiarity with medium-voltage products is highly valued.
- Knowledge of a leading industry product portfolio is an advantage (internal training available).
- You are fluent in English and have a basic command of German.
