Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and optimise FortiGate firewall policies and security profiles
Perform periodic health checks, audits, and performance reviews of Fortinet infrastructure
Troubleshoot complex network security issues including VPN, routing, and policy conflicts
Support SD-WAN, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer configurations and integrations
Review and advise on network segmentation, zero-trust architecture, and DMZ design
Provide escalation support for critical incidents outside of regular engagement schedule
Deliver recommendations and documentation following each engagement
Stay current with Fortinet firmware updates, CVEs, and best practices
Qualifications
Active Fortinet certification – NSE 4 minimum; NSE 7 or NSE 8 strongly preferred
Extensive hands‑on experience with FortiGate firewalls across enterprise environments
Deep knowledge of FortiOS, security policies, NAT, VPN (IPSec / SSL), and routing
Experience with FortiManager for centralised policy management
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF, VLANs, and network security principles
Ability to work autonomously and deliver clear outputs within a short engagement window
Due to Swiss work permit restrictions, we can only consider applications from EU citizens or holders of valid working permit in Switzerland.
