Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer with a strong engineering and process background to support a pharmaceutical manufacturing project involving the handling of highly active substances. The role requires deep expertise in containment concepts, dispensing and filling technologies, isolators, and GMP‑regulated environments. The consultant will support the project from the concept design phase through execution, ensuring the development and delivery of a safe, compliant, and technically robust solution.
Initial temporary contract to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, design, and optimize pharmaceutical production facilities with a strong focus on containment.
Define, develop, and implement strategies for the safe handling of HPAPI.
Develop and apply safety, health, and protection concepts for personnel, equipment, and facilities.
Support the project from early concept design through procurement, installation, commissioning, and qualification.
Act as a technical lead for confinement and containment‑related topics across the project lifecycle.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
Coordinate project activities across engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, automation, and process engineering.
Manage external service providers, contractors, and vendors in a matrix environment.
Ensure alignment with internal technical functions and quality requirements.
Prepare clear technical documentation, reports, and presentations for project stakeholders.
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or a comparable discipline).
More than 10 years of hands‑on experience in confinement solutions and handling of APIs or highly potent substances.
Proven experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing environments (mandatory).
Fluent German and English.
