automation,analytical, purification platforms) to maximise efficiency -Synthesis : Independent and collaborative design of efficientsynthetic routes to target molecules and sets of molecules usingknowledge, experience, and available digital tools - HSE: Carry outdetailed risk assessment of experimental procedures and rawmaterials in line with Syngenta HSE standards - Documentation: Document and communicate experimental procedures and data withhighest scientific accuracy and sufficient observational details toenable easy reproduction, retrieval, digital integration, andsecure IP - Problem solving: Independent and collaborative problemsolving and troubleshooting of synthetic chemistry within project -Knowledge: Maintain excellence in modern synthetic methods andtechnologies through continuous personal development - Continuousimprovement: Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratoriesand ways of working, identifying, removing, and escalating blockersto increase laboratory safety and productivity.
Profile - Minimumqualification is a master’s degree or 3 – 5 years of industrialexperience following full training through an apprenticeshipprogram, both in synthetic chemistry - Proficient in all aspects ofsynthetic organic chemistry, including reaction design,retrosynthesis, troubleshooting, purification and structuralelucidation, all with high standards of HSE - Collaborative andself-motivated: works effectively within teams and able to deliverwith autonomy - Comfortable working with software tools related todesign of synthesis programs and analysis of synthesis data -Proficiency in English is required.
