Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities :
With the support and in cooperation with the AFC Manager, HSE Responsible, Head of Quarter Product Specialists of all Assets, the person operates as Responsible for the Mechanical Workshop & Depot. This workshop manages all assets owned by the company and provided to jobsites under rental agreements.
In particular, the responsibilities include:
Managerial Side :
* Manage all aspects related to the Mechanical Workshop & Depot from an organizational, operational, and business perspective.
* Prepare quotations supporting tenders and operational jobsites for asset rental.
Assets in the Depot :
* Plan, budget, and organize assets needed by the depot to provide cost-effective and prompt support to jobsites. Develop and maintain the investment plan for the workshop & depot.
Financial and Management :
* Ensure positive financial results for the workshop & depot.
* Plan, budget, and organize personnel in collaboration with the Supply Chain Manager and HR, according to the organization chart.
* Ensure all deliverables, reports, and analyses are completed accurately and timely for management and HQ.
Technical / Operative Side :
* Collect and process technical specifications of equipment and plants, supporting technical analysis of supplier proposals.
* Manage equipment arrival, assembly, testing, commissioning, and startup, including acceptance testing.
* Maintain stock of spare parts in collaboration with jobsites.
* Provide scheduled and traceable maintenance for equipment and plants.
* Coordinate external maintenance providers and supervise daily team activities.
* Optimize asset performance and costs, especially mobile equipment.
* Ensure compliance with local legal requirements and interact with authorities and customers for legal documentation.
* Utilize assets efficiently, manage team, and generate reports for corporate management.
* Handle demobilization activities as per the master plan.
Other Accountabilities :
* Comply with company policies and procedures.
* Adhere to health and safety policies, taking personal accountability for safety.
* Manage budgets, costs, and process improvements.
* Ensure compliance with workplace relations and industry guidelines.
Education :
* Technical education required; ideally an engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or MBA).
Experience :
* At least 6 years’ experience in construction jobsites as a supervisor or responsible for a mechanical workshop, with extensive knowledge of mobile equipment.
* Experience managing local regulations and project lifecycle phases.
* Experience with OEM workshops or similar is a plus.
Equipment and Plants Maintenance :
* Deep knowledge of maintenance concepts, manuals, MTBF, MTTR, and spare parts management.
Software Knowledge :
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP and AutoCAD skills are a plus.
Problem Solving :
* Proven ability to solve field problems, manage stress, and emergency situations methodically.
Team Work and Leadership :
* Strong communication skills, proactive team management, leadership, integrity, and timely delivery.
