Achieving impact in stores and online requires creating the best monthly product flow, taking into account product seasonality, carry-overs, and newness.
This strategic thinker leads merchandise financial planning in partnership with Planning and Finance teams, driving SKU efficiency, optimized inventory management, and category growth across all regions.
A key aspect of this role is collecting pricing architecture and optimizing full-price sales through competitor price mapping and adjustments with the pricing team.
Collaboration with Marketing and Creative ensures cohesive seasonal storytelling and execution across all consumer touchpoints.
Additionally, this role involves working closely with VM to drive product assortment strategies into DTC and wholesale SIS, building inspiring and commercial solutions.
Influencing upstream product creation with Regional Merchandising and Product Strategy ensures the commercial voice is reflected in the global line architecture.
About the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has 10+ years of merchandising experience with a strong focus on premium sports and fashion/luxury industries.
They possess a profound knowledge of the apparel industry, including relevant accounts and consumer profiles.
A higher education degree in business, economics, or a similar field is required.
This experienced leader has a true understanding of the competitive sportswear landscape on a global level, challenging and disrupting it while maintaining a long-term perspective.
They have a strong track record of business results from previous roles, preferably in Merchandising, Retail, Product Management, and Business Analytics.
As an experienced people manager, they inspire the merchandising and greater On team to build and support the footwear vision.
Key skills include developing distribution strategy on a global level, keeping regional consumers, accounts, and sales teams front of mind.
Strong understanding of Visual Merchandising and the ability to make inspiring assortments are also essential.
Demonstrated experience in working independently through strategic plans, creating and executing global strategies on regional levels, and analyzing and understanding retail math and KPIs across multiple channels is required.
A solid leadership experience, strong communication and presentation skills, and business fluency in English (both written and spoken) are must-haves for this role.
