Overview
Our client, a leading international player in the financial sector with modern offices in the Basel area, is looking for a customer-oriented IT Sourcing Specialist 60-80% in a temporary assignment for 12 months to start in October.
In this position the selected candidate will have a strong possibility of an extension depending on motivation and performance. Hybrid working model, 4 days a week, 6h a day for 60% or 8h for 80%.

Job Description
The successful candidate will work as part of Sourcing and Contracting team and lead high value tenders and support and advise business owners on all matters concerning the procurement of IT goods and services. The main responsibilities are as follows:
* Provides procurement expertise to business owners
o Advises business owners in sourcing options and strategies in accordance with the requirements of the Procurement Policy and Procedures
* Performs high value tenders and assists business areas in other sourcing activities for IT software & hardware, IT infrastructure, consultancy services, by:
o Ensuring fair and transparent decisions
o Drafting contracts, liaising with Legal Services and other required departments
o Negotiating with suppliers
The Successful Applicant
In order to be considered for this role, the ideal candidate must have:
* University degree or equivalent training e.g. MA/BA in Procurement or CIPS-certification
* 3+ years\' relevant working experience in Procurement of IT related categories
* Sourcing Skills
o Proven contract drafting skills
o Proven tendering skills as lead sourcer (500k+ value tenders)
o Good understanding of Purchase to Pay processes
o Negotiation skills
* Extensive experience with analytical tools
* Business fluency in English for high level communication with senior internal and external stakeholders; German skills are a strong plus
