Requirements
Must have:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role - Experience with server virtualization (Proxmox) - Expertise in IT security (VPN, firewall, system hardening, etc.) - Experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux-based systems (RHEL); FreeBSD knowledge is a plus - Knowledge of automation and config-as-code solutions - Experience with monitoring solutions - Experience with OCI containers (Docker, Podman) and ideally with container orchestration - Experience with databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL is a plus - Experience with managing CI/CD infrastructure (especially GitLab CI) is a plus - High level of awareness with regards to IT security and privacy - Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail - Willingness to learn new technologies and concepts - Good written and spoken German and English (at least B2)
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor Threema services and help build and maintain the infrastructure behind them - Maintain a virtualization environment (Proxmox) and administer virtual servers - Administer Linux-based systems (RHEL) - Operate, maintain and further develop infrastructure components (services, networking, monitoring and alerting) - Deploy and maintain containerized applications - Manage CI/CD infrastructure (GitLab CI) in collaboration with developers - Participate in 7×24 on-call duty - Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and scalable; work within an open source technology ecosystem
