We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead the manufacturing of advanced display modules in a
high-mix, small- to mid-volume environment
. The role focuses on driving operational efficiency, ensuring quality and delivery performance, and adapting to limited forecast visibility and dynamic customer demands.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
* Lead and develop a multidisciplinary production team (operators, shift leaders, and maintenance staff).
* Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Ensure proper training and certification of staff on equipment and processes.
* Represent production in cross-functional forums and build strong internal partnerships.
* Manage team goals, resources, and budget while driving accountability.
Production Operations
* Oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and delivery commitments.
* Translate production plans into operational schedules, optimizing shift allocation and workforce flexibility.
* Support new product introductions with a focus on manufacturability and smooth ramp-up ("Safe Launch").
* Continuously improve processes, ergonomics, and workplace organization.
Quality & Reliability
* Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve production issues, reduce defects, and improve yields.
* Implement root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
* Monitor key performance indicators (OEE, productivity, yield, scrap, on-time delivery) and drive improvements.
* Ensure compliance with process controls, documentation, and quality standards.
* Oversee preventive maintenance and effective Outgoing Quality Control (OQC).
Planning & Coordination
* Align production schedules with Supply Chain and ensure material availability.
* Contribute to capacity planning to support business growth.
* Ensure accurate tracking and reporting through MES/ERP systems.
Qualifications & Profile
* Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in production or operations management in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing.
* Experience in cleanroom operations and industries such as electronics, optics, or precision manufacturing.
* Knowledge of display technologies; LCD manufacturing experience is highly valued.
* Background in automotive or similarly regulated industries is an advantage.
* Proficiency with MES/ERP systems and KPI-driven performance management.
* Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, 8D) and standards (ISO 9001, IATF
* Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
* Experience with lean manufacturing, visual management, and building flexible workforce structures.
* Effective communicator across multicultural, cross-functional teams and with external stakeholders.
* Customer-oriented mindset with strong motivation to meet demanding quality and delivery requirements.
* Organized, reliable, adaptable, and resilient under pressure.
* Project management experience is a plus.
