Spectrometer magnets are crucial components in various scientific applications. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the conceptual and detailed designs of the thermo-mechanical aspects of such a magnet.
About the Role
This position is within the Cryostats and Machine Integration (CMI) Section of the Magnets, Superconductors and Cryostats (MSC) Group. Your contributions will impact the development of cutting-edge spectrometers.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop both conceptual and detailed designs of the thermo-mechanical aspects of the spectrometer magnet.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this role, you must have a professional background in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. This includes having either:
* A Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience.
* A PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess excellent design skills, including both conceptual and detailed designs. A strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their application in real-world scenarios is essential.
