What you’ll do In this role, you’ll lead and advance analytical development activities for our PhytoComplexes (EDGEOS) within the Garden of the Future. You will: •\tDesign, optimize, and validate analytical methods—primarily HPLC-UV and complementary techniques such as HPLC MS—to ensure accurate and consistent phytochemical and feed analysis. •\tInterpret analytical data, troubleshoot deviations, and deliver high quality technical reports. •\tOversee and execute stability studies. •\tDevelop and write SOPs related to analytical methods, equipment operation, and laboratory workflows. •\tEnsure that analytical instruments are properly maintained, calibrated, and compliant with internal and external quality standards. •\tSupport, train, and guide junior lab personnel to nurture continuous learning and technical excellence. •\tIdentify opportunities to enhance laboratory efficiency and data accuracy through methodological innovation or new technologies. •\tContribute to the selection, qualification, and commissioning of new laboratory equipment. Who we’re looking for You are a hands-on, analytical, and detail driven scientist who thrives in a dynamic research environment. You bring curiosity, initiative, and a collaborative mindset to help advance Nutreco’s phytotechnology program. •\tMaster’s or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field. •\tProfessional laboratory experience—ideally within phytochemistry, food, or feed sectors. •\tStrong proficiency in analytical chemistry, including HPLC and sample preparation techniques (e.g., SPE, flash chromatography). •\tSolid understanding of plant phytochemistry and its application in analytical method development. •\tProven ability to troubleshoot analytical challenges and improve testing workflows. •\tPrecision in documentation, data integrity, and reporting; GMP experience is a plus. •\tExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams. •\tFluency in English; German language skills are an advantage.
