I am working with a pioneering technology company seeking a highly skilled and motivated
FPGA / SoC Engineer to join the innovative engineering team in Switzerland. In this role, you will be at the heart of our product development, architecting and implementing the mission-critical systems that drive our next-generation solutions. You will join an interdisciplinary team of experts dedicated to creating robust, scalable, and cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities:
* Spearhead the end-to-end design, implementation, and verification of complex FPGA and SoC systems, from initial architectural concepts through to final validation.
* Act as a key technical liaison, working closely with hardware and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration and optimal performance.
* Champion best practices and state-of-the-art methodologies in FPGA/SoC design, guiding projects using modern agile principles.
* Drive innovation by staying ahead of technology trends, evaluating new tools and architectures to continually enhance our solutions and maintain our competitive edge.
* If you have the experience, you will have the opportunity to develop and integrate embedded Linux drivers and applications for our custom platforms, significantly expanding their functionality.
Profile & Expertise:
* A strong academic background with a degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
* Deep expertise in VHDL for complex digital design.
* Hands-on proficiency with modern FPGA/SoC development toolchains, preferably AMD/Xilinx Vivado and Vitis.
* Strong programming skills in C/C++ for embedded systems, particularly for SoC processors (e.g., ARM cores, MicroBlaze).
* Proficient with modern development workflows, including version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD principles.
* An analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* A collaborative spirit with strong communication skills, enabling you to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Bonus Points:
* Experience with modern verification frameworks like Cocotb/Python.
* Proven experience with embedded Linux, especially Yocto, including bootloader configuration (U-Boot), kernel customisation (device trees), and driver development.
