Performance Responsibilities
1. Has command of the subject matter and effectively implements the Woodland District 50 curriculum including Response to Intervention (RtI)
2. Uses a variety of instructional techniques and differentiates instruction to meet the individual needs and interests of the students
3. Adheres to the guidelines outlined in the Woodland School District 50 Staff Handbook
4. Contributes to a positive school climate through the support of the district's Strategic Plan and Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) program
5. Orders materials and supplies as per district procedures, with appropriate authorization and within budgetary constraints
6. Collaborates with staff and paraprofessionals to meet the needs of students with special needs
7. Meets and instructs assigned classes in locations and at the times assigned
8. Maintains control of storage and use of school-owned property; keeps supplies in good working condition, is responsible for all materials as well as manages repair of equipment
9. Collaborates as needed with appropriate school personnel regarding students who may need specialized interventions
10. Establishes and maintains standards of pupil conduct in alignment with the Parent/Student Handbook and PBIS in order to provide for a safe, orderly productive environment
11. Oversees media center assistants and provides direction as needed
12. Plans, directs, implements and evaluates the library program
13. Assists students in becoming effective and discriminating users of library resources
14. Organizes library material, equipment, and facilities for effective and efficient utilization and circulation of print and electronic resources
15. Keeps the collection current within the constraints of the annual budget by purchasing quality print and non-print materials
16. Through a working knowledge of books and authors in the collection, assists students with reading selections
17. Effectively utilizes clerical, volunteer, student and/or other personnel to provide quality library service to users
18. Assists students and teachers in locating and using information resources
19. Actively plans with teachers and groups or teachers to integrate library services and multimedia materials with the instructional program
20. Promotes reading for enjoyment and personal growth
21. Provides equitable access to resources and information for both students and staff
22. Follows and models established policies, laws, (including copyright laws), principles of intellectual freedom, and ethical behavior
23. Communicates the Learning Resource Center's (LRC) role in teaching and learning to the school community
24. Provides professional development opportunities for staff
25. Prepares and oversees the LRC's media program budget that reflects the priorities of the entire school community
26. Maintains an accurate catalog to facilitate access to the LRC's resources and conducts an inventory on a regular basis
27. Attends and participates in team, department, faculty meetings, and professional development
28. Maintains attractive and inviting physical and online spaces that promote participatory learning experiences and intellectual growth
29. Adheres to all school and district policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality
30. Performs other such duties and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by the School Principal or Assistant Principal

Technical
Competent in digital environments; iPads, databases, spreadsheets, publishing software, Microsoft Office, Google applications etc.

Terms of Employment
June 8, 2026 - July 2, 2026; Monday thru Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Salary Range
Minimum of $48.96 per hour. (Current D50 employees in this position will be paid their current rate of pay.)
