We are seeking a Project Engineer to lead the delivery of cleanroom suites and drug product equipment from conceptual design through to final handover. This role requires strong technical capability combined with hands-on project delivery experience within regulated pharmaceutical environments. You will work closely with design, construction, and operations teams, whilst managing external vendors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance. This will be an initial 12-month contract.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of cleanroom suites and drug product equipment, from concept design through to commissioning and handover
Oversee design, specification and integration of aseptic drug product systems including filling lines, isolators, autoclaves, lyophilisers, CIP systems, HVAC and clean utilities
Work closely with design teams to develop and review engineering concepts, layouts, and technical specifications
Coordinate with construction teams to ensure installation aligns with design intent and GMP requirements
Manage equipment suppliers and vendors, including technical coordination, procurement support, and performance monitoring
Plan, coordinate and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) for process and utility systems
Ensure all systems comply with GMP and relevant regulatory requirements, particularly within aseptic and sterile manufacturing environments
Support commissioning, qualification and validation activities (including IQ/OQ where required) across process, utility and cleanroom systems
Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular project updates
Support continuous improvement of engineering standards, processes and project delivery practices
