Job Description:
A Polymechanic is responsible for the manufacturing of complex tools and production equipment, including planning, building, and mounting components. The role also involves supporting the evaluation of new production equipment and substituting as a vocational trainer for apprentices.
Responsibilities:
* Milling and turning on CNC machines, processing mechanical design drawings
* Milling and turning on conventional machines
* Manufacturing complex tools from drawings and sketches
* Planning and building production equipment, components, and prototypes
* Mounting and assembling components
* Supporting the evaluation of new production equipment
* Substituting as vocational trainer for polymechanic apprentices
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have completed vocational training as a Polymechanic (EFZ) and have experience with CNC processing centers, preferably FANUC control systems. Basic knowledge of CAM programming and mechanical design in CAD, ideally SolidWorks, is also required. Additionally, several years of professional experience, imagination, creative thinking, good knowledge of current technology, and being an autonomous, proactive, flexible team player are essential.
