Overview:
Established in 2003, we are the only independent, locally owned and operated, full service concert production company in the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California. We promote events 52 weeks a year in venues from clubs to stadiums to multi-day festivals and everything in between. APE exclusively operates and promotes concerts at the Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley, San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, The Castro, The Independent, the Fox Theater in Oakland, Lake Tahoe Amphitheatre at Caesars Republic, Channel 24 in Sacramento, as well as co-promoter of The Bellwether in Los Angeles. Our Annual festival and events include San Francisco’s Outside Lands and Golden Gate Park Concerts in Golden Gate Park. Another Planet also includes Artist Management and Special Events divisions.
Box Office responsibilities & Qualifications:
1. Work at Another Planet Entertainment operated venues in the box office on show nights (including evenings and weekends)
2. Sell tickets to current and upcoming shows
3. Organize and distribute tickets to patrons attending the night’s performance.
4. Provide quality customer service to patrons
5. Troubleshoot patron inquiries and questions
6. Maintain superior customer service both in person and over the phone
7. Coordinate with all departments to relay pertinent show/ticketing information
8. Assist and support box office manager in any of their job functions, as needed
9. Maintain a clean and well organized box office workstation
10. At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in box office setting, preferably in the music industry.
11. Proficiency with Ticketmaster preferred (TM1, Sales & Host).
Skills / Experience
12. Knowledge of the music industry and passion for live music.
13. Must have the ability to work in fast-paced and (potentially) high stress situations while maintaining grace and composure.
14. Excellent organizational skills.
15. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
16. Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity.
17. Ability to improvise and problem solve on the go.
18. Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
19. Must feel comfortable with using a computer.
20. Exceptional communication skills and a professional, fun, friendly attitude
Pay (HOURLY-NON EXEMPT): $24
