Sales Manager – ABB
This role is responsible for the Service organization for ABB’s Critical Power Business Line. You will be fully accountable for Service business performance, putting strategy into action and reaching strong growth targets. Reporting directly to the Sales, Service, and Project Execution Leader Switzerland, you will play a key role in accelerating market growth, deepening customer partnerships, and ensuring high-quality execution across service operations.
Responsibilities
* Executes the Service strategy as a member of the local management team, ensuring corresponding plans are implemented consistently in the Service organization through collaboration with other businesses/hub.
* Oversee project delivery, ensuring execution on time, on cost, and quality in accordance with ABB service management frameworks.
* Work closely with Sales, Project Management and other Business Line functions to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
* Provide experienced leadership, coaching, and mentoring of Critical Power regional service leaders and collaborate closely with other ABB business lines and divisions.
* Be responsible for health and safety of the local Business Unit/Product Group Service team, enforcing a Service safety and integrity culture throughout the Service organization.
Qualifications
* Postgraduate degree in Business or Engineering; bringing a solid blend of commercial and technical leadership.
* 5+ years of experience in the UPS and/or Data Center industry, with deep exposure to mission‑critical segments (Data Centers, Semiconductor, Infrastructure, Utilities) and revenue‑growth responsibility in service.
* Experience leading larger regional service organizations while delivering profitable growth and margin improvement.
* Demonstrated ability to engage and align stakeholders in complex matrix organizations, translating global strategy into executable regional commercial plans.
* Solid background in the electrical installation / UPS-systems and batteries industry, combining demonstrable technical credibility.
* Deep understanding of industry regulations, customer buying behaviors, and global market dynamics, leveraging SAP and modern digital tools to improve pipeline visibility, forecasting accuracy, and customer‑centric solutions; fluent in English.
