Role Summary
St George’s International School is currently seeking a new PE Teacher to complete the 2026 academic year. You would be joining a multicultural, international environment with students from diverse backgrounds and a highly collaborative staff community. This will be a fixed‑term contract at 100%.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach PE in Middle School (Y6–9) and Senior School (Y10–13) within Cambridge, IGCSE and IB programmes.
* Coach a range of school sports.
* Support Junior School sports provision (Y3–5).
* Manage one of the school’s sports academies.
* Ensure good planning, supervision and discipline.
* Deliver engaging, inquiry‑based lessons.
* Develop students’ core skills and make interdisciplinary links.
* Show strong drive, energy and teamwork.
* Maintain high expectations for self and students.
* Follow departmental assessment policies.
* Write academic reports.
* Attend parent–teacher/tutor conferences.
* Attend scheduled school meetings.
* Cover lessons when needed.
* Provide extra‑curricular coaching.
* Tutor a group of around 10 students (Y7–13).
* Act as a role model and ambassador for the school.
* Build positive relationships with colleagues and parents.
* Demonstrate international‑mindedness and support a multilingual environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Experience of teaching IGCSE PE and IBDP Sport, Exercise and Health Science
* Experience in coaching school sport
* A minimum of 3 years experience with students in a secondary school
* Confidence with use of ICT in teaching
* University degree in PE and/or in a related subject
* Certified Teaching Status
