Service Area – Palm Springs, CA
Responsibilities
* Servicing multi-modality, AX/XP Imaging Equipment in the Palm Springs, CA area. Customer Service Engineer II based on prior experience.
* Install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on Siemens Healthcare systems at customer sites with minimal supervision.
* Deliver timely and effective repairs and provide adequate training of operators to ensure optimal system performance and superior customer satisfaction.
* Manage financial performance within the territory, meeting or exceeding budget for revenue generation, expense control and inventory management.
* Manage company assets including a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, and inventory parts.
* Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers and perform necessary administrative duties accurately.
Qualifications / Skills
* Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance and modifications on medical imaging equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
* Ability to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, and perform administrative duties accurately.
* Experience testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
* Proficiency with tools and service test equipment.
* General understanding of electricity, power supplies, and grounding.
Required education and experience
* Minimum high school diploma; technical Associate’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
* Proficiency with tools and service test equipment; ability to work independently and in a team.
* Proficiency in network applications and tools (eVO, mButler, MS Office, Concur, NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools).
* 3+ years’ experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments.
* Valid driver’s license with ability to drive day and night and a good driving record.
* Physical requirements: lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders/steps, bending, twisting, standing, walking, fine motor manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
* Strong judgment in customer relations and resource management; competency in instrument systems technology spanning mechanics, electrical, chemistry, and software; experience with electronics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
What we offer
The base pay range for this position is $64,060 - $88,088. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. This is a potential commission-eligible position; commissions are based on individual and/or company performance.

Work requirements
Position requires full access to Siemens Healthineers client sites to perform essential functions. Vendors may require credentialing, background checks, drug screens, immunizations, annual TB testing, and related healthcare trainings. These requirements vary by client and may include proof of identification, criminal background checks, and other checks.
