ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a curious and motivated IT Card Management Analyst to join our dynamic international team and work on projects for Swiss banking clients. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business and technology, analysing complex card management processes and translating them into functional and technical specifications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the full delivery lifecycle - from requirements gathering to production support - in a modern cloud-native environment.
Middle level: 3–6 years of experience in comparable roles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional & Process Analysis
Analyse and understand end-to-end Card Management processes: card issuance, lifecycle management, authorisations, clearing & settlement, fraud, and chargebacks.
Gather, analyse, and formalise business requirements, translating them into clear functional and technical specifications.
Support the business in defining IT solutions aligned with the bank's operational, regulatory, and compliance frameworks.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Security.
Technical & IT Analysis
Produce functional and technical documentation: application specifications, integration flows, and data mapping.
Support the design and evolution of microservices architectures in cloud environments.
Work closely with internal and external development teams throughout development, testing, and release phases.
Support the analysis and management of application incidents and production issues.
DevOps & Technology
Operate within a DevOps model, actively collaborating with development teams.
Support and understand CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling (e.g. Jenkins).
Use version control systems (Git, Bitbucket) for managing application configurations.
Provide troubleshooting support for application and infrastructure issues in cloud-native and distributed environments.
Contribute to solution stability, quality, and scalability - including monitoring and logging initiatives.
TECHNICAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Core Requirements
Experience in functional and technical analysis within IT environments.
Knowledge of credit and debit card payment systems.
Ability to understand and analyse complex, distributed application architectures.
Experience - even non-specialist - with Cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Technical Knowledge
DevOps models and CI/CD pipelines
Git / GitHub
Microservices architectures
Kafka or other messaging / event streaming systems
Change Data Capture (CDC)
PostgreSQL (PGSQL)
Java
Monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Splunk, Dynatrace)
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Engineering, or a related field.
3–6 years of experience in IT analysis roles, ideally within banking or financial services.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and spoken Italian and English (mandatory); knowledge of German or French is a plus.
Clear communication and a professional attitude.
Structured thinking and keen attention to detail.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
