We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. A hands‑on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder. Your work will help to maintain one of the world's largest information system infrastructures.
Key job responsibilities
* On‑site management of contractors, sub‑contractors and vendors, ensuring that work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures & local legislation.
* Maintain performance benchmarks, & prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility infrastructure operations & maintenance.
* Generate Change Management requests & Incident Management tickets as directed.
* Learn and contribute to documentation relevant to business & facility operations.
* Assist with rack installation and the provision of power/cooling.
* Become involved with routine maintenance and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, cooling equipment, building monitoring systems, etc.
* Assist and learn about the design, implementation, commissioning and build out of new facilities.
* Assist with the management of facility assets.
* Participate in Construction & Operational Meetings as required.
* Assist with Work Order compliance and review of contractual SLAs.
* Interface with Infra Ops teams for day‑to‑day operational requirements.
* Assist in the resolution of any infrastructure engineering or services issue.
* Delivery of exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
* Meet daily hours of operations, shift and on‑call requirements for response during shift rotations.
A day in the life
* Monitoring alarms and systems that manage power, cooling, and fire suppression in the data center.
* Coordinating vendor work on‑site to ensure equipment is maintained and uptime is preserved.
* Supporting other teams and sites during events and planned works.
* Handling rack installations and powering up equipment.
* Monitoring and facilitating the handover of new equipment.
* Sharing knowledge and supporting new team members.
* Participating in event response drills.

Basic Qualifications
* High school or equivalent diploma
* 1 to 4 years of knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory; generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls; backup generator systems
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast‑paced environment
* Eagerness to learn, motivated, self‑starter; good communication and coordination skills.
* Must be able to participate in on‑call rotation, and work over‑time when required.
Preferred Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline + professional certification in electrical, mechanical or controls engineering.
* Experience in operations of critical facilities (heavy industry or data centers) which require in‑depth knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and control systems and data center engineering experience.
