Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Deputy General Manager supports the overall management of the hotel and plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, team leadership, and guest satisfaction.
As the second-in-command, you act as a true operational and managerial relay, guaranteeing continuity, performance, and service quality.
Key responsibilities
Operations & Performance
* Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the hotel
* Act as Manager on Duty and take full responsibility in the GM’s absence
* Oversee hotel operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Breakfast and Maintenance
* Ensure compliance with brand standards, procedures, and service quality
* Monitor operational KPIs (occupancy, guest satisfaction, costs, productivity)
* Identify and implement continuous improvement actions
People Management
* Supervise, support, and motivate operational teams and supervisors
* Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance follow-up
* Foster a positive, structured, and engaging working environment
* Support disciplinary processes in coordination with the General Manager and HR
Guest Experience
* Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction and service excellence
* Handle escalated guest issues with autonomy and professionalism
* Actively promote a customer-centric culture across all teams
Your profile
* Proven experience in hotel operations (Operations Manager, Front Office Manager, Assistant GM, Hotel Manager, or similar)
* Strong hands-on operational mindset with leadership capabilities
* Comfortable managing teams and operational pressure
* Organized, reliable, and solution-oriented
* Strong customer service culture
* Fluent in German and English (French is a plus)
* A key leadership role within the hotel
* Clear exposure to hotel management and operational decision-making
* Strong development path toward a General Manager position
* A dynamic and structured hotel environment with group support
