is a Swiss climate tech startup that monetises the removal of methane, a potent greenhouse gas, from the air. We're a small team of engineers, scientists, and entrepreneurs.
Responsibilities:
* 100% responsible for all mechanical design and CAD modelling (SolidWorks).
* 100% responsible to design and build prototypes for lab and pilot-scale methane removal systems.
* 100% responsible to specify materials, components, and fabrication processes for mechanical assemblies.
* 100% responsible to conduct engineering analyses (thermal, structural, and fluid dynamics) to optimize designs for performance and scalability.
* 100% responsible for vendor relationships, procurement, and fabrication of custom parts.
* 100% responsible to ensure mechanical systems meet safety, reliability, and regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with chemical & electrical engineers to integrate mechanical systems.
* Perform hands-on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware in the lab and field.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical (Design) Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
* 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, prototyping, or product development (startup or hardware experience a plus).
* Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks).
* Hands-on experience with fabrication, machining, and assembly (workshop or maker-space skills valued).
* Experience with rapid prototyping tools (3D printing, CNC, laser cutting) and DFM/DFX principles.
* Knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
* Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
* Passion for climate tech, sustainability, and innovation.
* Communicate in English.
* Swiss residence/ work permit.
