Role objective
As a member of the Finance team, the Finance Manager of the legal entity plays a key role in ensuring the financial integrity, transparency and performance of the subsidiary. He/She acts as the local finance business partner to the management team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, and alignment with the group’s strategic and financial objectives.
The role encompasses full responsibility for accounting, controlling and financial planning activities at the subsidiary level – ensuring compliance with local regulations while adhering to group policies and standards. The ideal candidate combines a strong technical finance background with entrepreneurial spirit, operational understanding and a hands‑on approach to support the entity’s sustainable growth and profitability.
Reporting lines and interactions
This position reports directly to the Group CFO and functionally collaborates with the Group Accounting & Controlling functions.
The Finance Manager also works closely with the local Management team and collaborates with local HR.
Key responsibilities
* Manage local finance team (GL/AP/AR) in total 4 HC
* Maintain the day‑to‑day accounting of the Subsidiary (invoicing, bank reconciliation, GL entries, provisions)
* Oversee all financial operations of the legal entity, including accounting, controlling, cash management, and reporting
* Ensure timely and accurate month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closings in line with group deadlines and standards (Swiss GAAP FER / IFRS)
* Develop, monitor, and analyze annual budgets and rolling forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities
* Control and analyze production, sales, and overhead costs; ensure proper allocation and transparency of cost structures
* Manage cash flow, working capital, and intercompany transactions, ensuring liquidity and compliance with group treasury policies
* Support audits (internal and external) and ensure adherence to internal control standards and regulatory requirements
* Coordinate local tax filings and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and authorities as required
* Act as a financial business partner to the local management team, providing decision support and strategic financial insights
* Drive process improvement and digitalization initiatives within Finance (ERP enhancements, automation, reporting tools)
* Ensure alignment of local finance processes with global policies, and actively contribute to group‑wide finance projects
Qualifications
University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s level). A recognized professional qualification (e.g. CPA or Swiss Expert in Accounting and Controlling) is a strong advantage.
Experience / Skills
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting and controlling, preferably in an industrial company
* Strong understanding of accounting, controlling, budgeting and financial reporting process
* Experience with ERP systems (Odoo experience is a plus) and excellent command of Excel
* Knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER or IFRS and familiar with local statutory accounting and tax requirements
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with high attention to detail
* Fluent in English, French and German is an advantage
* Proactive, structured and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively with technical teams
* Hands‑on, proactive and solution‑oriented with a strong sense of ownership
* Strong communication skills, able to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
