Context:
Infomaniak is currently developing its own mail server to replace the infrastructure of our millions of accounts. This project involves significant challenges in scalability, quality and security. This technological sovereignty will make us more flexible and allow us to quickly bring new features to our customers. Ultimately, we plan to make this solution open source.
Your responsibilities:
Architecture & Design : Participate in creating a sovereign mail server in Go, focusing on security and service quality.
Performance & Protocols : Implement critical features related to messaging and storage protocols, ensuring minimal latency for millions of users.
Quality and industrialisation : Ensure product stability and maintainability through test automation and strong involvement in code reviews.
Reliability and security : Guarantee the integrity and confidentiality of user data by applying best security practices (encryption, API hardening, etc.)
Profile sought:
Golang expertise: You master the Go language perfectly, its idioms and ecosystem. You are comfortable with concurrent programming patterns and managing high-load performance.
Systems & Scalability culture: You have a strong interest in high availability, resilience and distributed systems issues.
API & Microservices mastery: Ability to design robust, performant and documented APIs for a multi-platform ecosystem (web, desktop, mobile).
A plus if you have knowledge in:
Experience with Docker / Kubernetes, GitLab CI is a plus.
Knowledge of mail-related protocols (SMTP, IMAP, JMAP)
Open source contributions or side projects are appreciated
You enjoy working in a team and demonstrate positive communication
